This compact greenhouse was designed to be accessible to everyone and provide the user with a space that can be utilized in multiple ways. The client wanted the greenhouse to work as a room next to the garden where plants can be grown before they are eventually planted outside in the summer. Also the greenhouse should work as a storage place for gardening tools and other equipment.
Another part of the clients wishes was for the greenhouse to be sturdy and made out of sustainable natural materials. The frame of the house is made out of Finnish spruce and the windows are made from scrap glass material which is 100% recycled. All and all the build left very small amounts of waste, since we where able to utilize so much scrap material.
The design of the house was created to be modular, this means that the different components of the house can be adapted according to the needs of the client. The whole house comes together like a puzzle, piece by piece.
The house is still under construction and will be finished during the spring of 2021.
